This is the prequel to the full novel Dreams Lost & Found.
In this story you’ll meet Greg Decker, superstar athlete and all-around good guy. In 1975 he’s a senior in high school, looking forward to doing all the fun things that high school seniors do. Greg is also the best high school football player in his state. He has his choice of where to play college football.
But all is not perfect in Greg’s life. He struggles to please his alcoholic, tough-love parents, no matter what he does. Greg also battles the demons of his older brother Ryan’s death on the battlefields of Vietnam. Ryan was loved by all, and Greg feels the pressure to be what Ryan could’ve been. In addition, Greg must handle the struggles all teenagers face – finding love, succeeding in school, and enjoying time with his friends.
This prequel takes you through Greg’s dramatic last game of football and its repercussions. One thing is certain. His life will never be the same after his senior year.
This prequel is appropriate for young adult readers and up. It contains no language, sex, or violence. One does not need to know anything about football to enjoy the story.
